The little mouse that inspired a poem; the poem that inspired a story

I wrote this poem about two weeks ago, inspired by a writer friend who I greatly admire. The poem itself inspired a story, which I will finish up in the coming weeks and publish here on SubStack. A story of sorrow and hurt, danger and fears, discovery and resilience, hope and love. A story still ongoing.
